The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a loosely defined area in the North Atlantic Ocean where numerous ships and aircraft are said to have mysteriously disappeared. While it's gained notoriety due to stories of unexplained disappearances, investigations by reputable sources suggest these incidents can be attributed to natural phenomena, human error, and equipment malfunctions, rather than any supernatural or paranormal causes. In his book, "The Bermuda Triangle," Charles Berlitz popularized the idea of the area as a region of mystery where ships and planes mysteriously disappear. He presented various theories to explain these disappearances, including natural phenomena like magnetic anomalies and underwater methane hydrates, as well as supernatural or extraterrestrial explanations. Berlitz also controversially linked the disappearances to the lost city of Atlantis.
