Grenadine! A must have for the cocktail aficionado. Problem is all that store bought stuff is synthetic, bad for you and isn't really grenadine at all! Over the years it has lost its way. Thanks for watching, Become one of my Patrons and help support the show   / bartalkandcocktails   -------------------------- ULTIMATE GRENADINE 1 bottle or 1 litre Pomegranate juice 1 cup sugar (white or light coloured sugar gives the best color) 1/2 cup of whole dried hibiscus flowers 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice splash of orange blossom water (optional) -Combine 1 bottle Pomegranate Juice and Hibiscus Flowers in a sauce pan and heat on medium. Do Not Boil. -Reduce to half. -Stir in sugar until dissolved, -Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to reduce some more. Do Not Boil. -Reduce to half again -Remove from heat, cover and let steep for one hour. -Add 1 Tbsp.
