I spent $500 of my own money buying several pairs of Indie Ridge boots because I was tired of one thing.... Most motorcycle boots look ridiculous. For some reason the people designing them decided riders need giant rubber patches, weird armor panels, and styling that screams “LOOK AT ME I RIDE A MOTORCYCLE.” I just wanted a boot that actually protects your foot without making you look like a try-hard walking around in public. While heading to an Indian Motorcycle press event, I reached out to Indie Ridge last minute and Steve, the founder, literally opened the doors and let me swing by. No sponsorship, no setup, just a guy who clearly cares about his product and riders. I rode all day in the Apache boot in the rain and it lived up to the waterproof claim. Then in this video I take the Armstrong ventilated boot out on the road and honestly… it blew my mind. The airflow is insane. It feels closer to riding in a sneaker than a traditional motorcycle boot. I also briefly talk about their Golden Glove and the Powersports glove, both of which impressed me as well. If you’ve watched @RoseAnvil on YouTube, you know how deep the boot rabbit hole goes. When I learned he had consulted with Indie Ridge early on, that made me even more curious to try them. So in this video: • Why I struggled to find normal looking motorcycle boots • Visiting Indie Ridge and meeting the founder • Real world rain testing the Apache boot • Riding in the ventilated Armstrong boot • Why these might be the first motorcycle boots you can wear anywhere This video is NOT sponsored. I bought the boots myself and wanted to share what I found. ⸻ If you ride and have been frustrated by motorcycle gear that makes you look like a Power Ranger, you might appreciate these. ⸻ Chapters 0:00 Motorcycle boots usually look ridiculous 0:53 How I discovered Indie Ridge 1:32 Visiting Indie Ridge and meeting Steve 2:31 The Apache Waterproof Boot 2:48 The Armstrong Ventilated Boot 3:17 The @RoseAnvil connection 4:03 The Gloves 5:01 Durability 5:53 The Armstrong Ventilated Boot Road Test 8:06 Final thoughts I earn a small percentage from affiliate links.
