Dive Description: We begin the dive at the axis of the canyon at 356 m. We will navigate along the axis for approximately 100 m to a depth of 352 m. There we will retrieve our first set of push cores. Next, we will approach the south wall of the canyon. We will reach a relatively flat area at mid depth (242 m) where we will extract more push cores. We will continue our ascent to the edge of the canyon, crossing an arcuate escarpment. Outside the canyon, we will visit some unidentified mounds located 90 m south of the canyon edge. We will core again there. We expect to find a mixture of steep walls and gentler areas with mass transport deposits.
