I used MDA Multiband for mastering. ------------------- This is an arrange version of Dance Of Demi Human by Compile/LMS Music. This song is actually used in all DiscStation discs (at least the Win95/98 ones) as the background music for the main menu. MIDI data is generally embedded within the DSMENU.MLK file. Made by replacing the original GM presets by the following VST instruments or audio tracks: 14xVOPM 7xKAWAI R100 drum samples 4xlayers In addition, I've included the original version of the song, exactly as it sounds from an OPL3 FM chip in order to create a medley. I also threw in some pixel art and artwork coming from various DiscStation discs, in order to make the video more pleasing and bring some mood to it. This way you'll even be able to compare between FM synthesis and FM synthesis. Seriously. My arrange still features the "FM synthesis+vintage drum machine" formula, and all FM sounds actually only use 4 operators! This shows how good 4-operator FM synthesis can sound when polished and used the right way. In comparison, most OPL3 sounds only use 2 operators. Hope you'll enjoy.
