To replace your old filter: Remove the filter cartridge and bubble tube assembly from your aquarium by grasping at the base and rotating a quarter turn so that it detaches from the tank. Pull these out of the tank for easier handling. Detach the bubble tube from the base cartridge by twisting the bubble tube until the cartridge and tube disconnect Discard the old filter foam disk and granular media, but keep the plastic cartridge.
