Nikon has come a long way from their original D1 and D2 cameras, but they are still pretty powerful tools. The size of the larger "Pro" bodies give them a beautifully full sound. I was also pretty surprised in the speed of the D2X. This camera can crank out 11 fps if you crop it in, which is perfect for sports situations where you want to zoom in more and take faster picture bursts. The D1X really shows its age with only 3 fps and a buffer that fills up after a few seconds. This wasn't the fast sports camera we have come to expect from Nikon's Pro line. The Nikon Z6 is one of Nikon's first mirrorless cameras and with that shift in technology comes a very different shutter sound. There isn't a large mirror to move out of the way every time, so the sound will only be the shutter moving which is a much smaller sound. This is advantageous for a lot of event photographers, like weddings, that would appreciate a more quiet camera.
