This private, all-sports lake community sits just west of US-127 and just north of US-12 and is comprised of two separate lakes with approximately 470 total acres of water and approximately 9 miles of shoreline. The two lakes were developed in the early 1960’s on 1,250 acres of farm properties and existing small natural lakes. The water levels in the lakes are controlled by two man-made dams. Lake Leann forms the headwaters of the Grand River, the longest river in Michigan (260 miles). The community now includes 2,201 platted property lots, with 743 lakefront properties and 1,458 lake access properties in 15 developed subdivisions. The LeAnn community offers numerous amenities including clear spring water, beautiful sandy beaches, private parks with gated boat launches, many paved roads with picturesque subdivisions of mature hardwood and pine trees. There are an abundance of restaurants in the surrounding areas, fun and exciting things to do nearby, and access to major highways that allow commuters to get to work, shopping and all other necessities with ease. In 2020, a state-of-the-art aeration system was installed to help maintain water quality and assure the continued recreational enjoyment of our lakes. Many varieties of fish can be found in the two lakes, and the Lake LeAnn Property Owners Association restocks the lakes annually. Member anglers enjoy great fishing on the lakes year-round.
