Fire fighter hosing down road STORYLINE: A suicide car bomber struck a NATO convoy in the northern Baghlan province of Afghanistan on Sunday, killing one civilian and wounding 12 other people, officials said. Two NATO soldiers were among the wounded, said a NATO spokesman, and it later emerged that they were members of the German contingent of the NATO-led ISAF (International Security Assistance Force). The police chief of Baghlan Province, General Abdul Rahman Sayedkhail, gave details of the attack. Also on Sunday, two US troops were wounded when a suicide car bomber struck their convoy in western Herat province, according to Colonel Greg Julian, spokesman for the US military in Afghanistan.
