A snow-covered mountain filled with cold, fresh air. Fewer people than usual, and no sound of insects. Only the soft thud of melting snow falling from the trees, and the crunch of snow beneath my own footsteps. Among the four seasons, this is one of the most calming moments. Someday, I hope to take a slow walk through the snow in places like Scandinavia or Alaska. Sunlight filtering through the trees in the snow mountains feels different from summer or autumn— the reflected light off the snow carries a beauty of its own.
