Jeremy Hunt is now the longest serving Health Secretary in British political history. Dr Louise Irvine, Secretary to the National Health Action Party and GP who has stood against Jeremy Hunt in two consecutive General Elections recently took part in an interview on Sky news to discuss Jeremy Hunt's performance over his nearly six reign of the NHS. During the interview Dr Irvine rightly pointed out that Jeremy Hunt had failed to meet a vast array of the government's own targets, but also more importantly, that all of the current crises the NHS is facing have been avoidable, and in fact that had Jeremy Hunt listened to NHS staff the NHS would not be in the dire straits that it finds itself in today.
