Guest Speaker 1: Abayomi Bankole Abayomi Bankole (Hydrospecs) is a young researcher and lecturer at the Department of Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. Scholar Hydrospecs earned his First and Second degrees in the same department, while currently concluding his second master's program in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil. His research engagement transverses the scope of Water Resources Management and Hydrology, with a major focus on Water and Wastewater Treatment, and the implementation of Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence in driving Sustainable Water Treatment on a global scale. He is a Fellow of the Agricultural Research and Innovation Fellowship for Africa (ARIFA). Scholar Hydrospecs has authored/co-authored several publications in reputable journals. His research network cut across the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, United States, among others. Just like many scholarship enthusiasts, Scholar Hydrospecs have had his fair share of love letters, while he has also mentored scholars that have won prestigious scholarships including Erasmus Mundus, MasterCard foundation scholarship and several assistantship positions in the United States and Australia. He has a Diploma in Addiction Medicine and Addiction care and Nursing from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He is currently working on structural characterization and genomic analysis of calcium protein sensing to determine what generates electric currents that signal the human heartbeat and heart failure. Abdullahi has a special interest in global public health, chemical biology, quality education and developmental issues affecting the global south and beyond which are in view of Sustainable Development Goals. Abdullahi is a global health advocate, Harm Reduction Scholar, Global WHO antibiotics guardian, drug policy advocate and astute researcher with 100+ publications in Scopus index journals. Currently, he is rated by Scopus as number 114 out of 500 top authors in Nigeria. He is also rated by Scopus as the 1st author with the most COVID-19 papers in Nigeria. Asides from being a student, he assumes the professional role of Director for research in Heathy Africans Platform, Toufik World Medical Association, SWISS Africa Research Hub, and Coordinator at Student for liberty West Africa, Member of British Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, Member of International Substance Use Professional, International leader in student for sensible drug policy and the coordinator for SSDP for Lagos chapter, an international member of international infectious Disease, member of Area, Member of INSGA and many more. Abdullahi has presented various research works at different international conferences. Abdullahi and his team have won various research and SDGs grants and part of the grant he won recently was a travel grant to present a conference at the University of British Columbia in Canada sponsored by TUFT, and also won a grant for his innovative approach to solve maternal mortality issues in Nigeria through telehealth, which sponsored by Goggle with 50,000 dollars. He won Global Volunteer Award from International Volunteer from the UN, his team won UNICEF UNLIMITED GENERATION challenge in 2019 and also his team won the MIT covid-19 challenge. His work was also recognized with the award of excellence by PAN Africa. Abdullahi is among the Young Nigerian delegate to sign World Healthcare Summits in the G20 letter to the UN.
