In this MyFigStix video, I share the results of a 3-week fig cutting propagation experiment testing whether grow lights help or hinder rooting fig cuttings. For this test, I used Single Node Angelito fig cuttings. At the start of the experiment, none of the cuttings placed under the grow lights had any roots, while the group kept in a darker room with only dappled natural light had just one cutting with roots. Over the course of three weeks, a high percentage of the cuttings in both environments developed roots. But what surprised me most was which cuttings developed the healthiest and strongest root systems.
