United We Stream: FEMMELY AFFAIR w/ Antifuchs - 'Wie ein Mann' at Riverside Studios Berlin

As part of the FEMMELY AFFAIR's musical programme , United We Stream presents the Riverside Studio's resident Antifuchs. German-language rap by women still relies too much on appearances and too little on skills. ANTIFUCHS is an exception in this respect. Skills and energy are her middle and third names. Songs like "Wie ein Mann" show how smartly Antifuchs deals with current topics. Femininity, which is not defined as a potential weapon against an exclusion from something, but as a lived matter of course of a competitive participation. Whether with a detailed portrait in the "Spiegel" special issue on women's suffrage, as a female highlight at "Fusion Festival" or as crowning finale of the ARTE Concert streaming concerts, Antifuchs invites viewers into their world with open arms, wraps them skillfully around her finger and then dismisses them with one problem less: Can self-determined women and hip hop be a perfect match? About the event: FEMMELY AFFAIR took place in the light of International Women’s Day 2021 on March, 8th - a safe space to empower each other and nurture a vivid, global network of artists, event creators and cultural entrepreneurs. A day full of music, panels and talks! Besides music streams from Berlin, Tbilisi and South Africa, we unite to discuss the need for a progressive development in the music industry. We want to shed a light on social movements striving for structural changes in the music sector and have a look on the discourses of our times through multidimensional lenses.
