Winter Field Day 2023 : Yaesu FT-817ND Operating QRP Portable with Speaker Wire Antenna!

It's January, it's cold and blustery outside. What better time than to operate Winter Field Day for 2023! Swimmers take the Polar Plunge in January so we as Ham Radio Operators must do something similar, and with this channel being "Ham Radio on the GO" its a perfect fit. Operators will work Field Day in whatever manner works best for them but I believe Field is best represented in the field and a small footprint is best as to me the true meaning is to simulate an emergency situation and to deploy quickly and simply, as there may or may not be power. So whenever I can I try to employ these beliefs and this year I was able to make them come to fruition.
