Today, for a special 200 subs video, as I promised, I made a new SMBX 1.4.4 custom level, which it took me another 2 weeks of my nonsense life, based on the popular game as of 2018 called "Baldi's Basics In Education and Learning". For those who don't know "Baldi's Basics In Education and Learning" is an American independent parody horror video-game developed by Micah McGonigal, known by the pseudonym mystman12. The game parodies educational games of the 1990s through poor graphics and similar themes. Now then, allow me to tell you in a brief summary about this level while making a comparison between it & the OG that is based on. In the OG version, a friend of the protagonist forgets seven notebooks at the local schoolhouse but can't get them himself because he'd be late for "eating 🍴 practice", so he asks the protagonist to fetch them. In my SMBX version, Mario is forcefully sent by Kevin (that's me, lol) to Baldi's schoolhouse as a punishment for crashing his PC twice. And also because he must learn his basics. In the OG version, once the player enters the school, he's greeted by Baldi, then after this you'll find the school rules these being : "No running" ; "No entering faculty " ; "No eating" ; "No drinking" ; "No escaping detention" ; "No fourth wall breaks". After this, the player (you), will start to be quizzed 3 math problems each time he takes a notebook. In my SMBX version, the things are pretty much the same, except for the fact that Mario will collect instead stars & also the answers for the questions won't be given using your keyboard, but by choosing the right answer by hitting the or blocks. Just like in the OG, at the second star/notebook taken, Baldi will give you an impossible math problem to solve & of course you won't since there's no answer for it. After this, in both versions, Baldi will show his true madness for the first time, by starting to chase you around the schoolhouse & the more you answer wrong each time you take a star/notebook, the angrier & faster he gets. While chasing you, he'll be holding his ruler & slap his left hand the whole time, so you can know when he's approaching near to you or further. In both versions, you'll encounter as NPCs : Principal of the Thing (who'll give you detention in case you break one or multiple rules) ; Playtime girl (who'll act as a obstacle by forcing you to play with her by jumping the rope for 5 seconds or even more if you miss a jump) ; It's a bully (another obstacle who'll just sit in the hallway & won't let the player get pass him unless he/she gives him an item) ; 1st Prize (a loving robot designed for the Science Fair who loves to hug, showing that he is compassionate towards others. But, he can be a real pain since instead of a hug, it'll more likely push you hard if it gets in contact with you & you won't be able to escape easily from it). Want more content like this?
