Around 1.5 years ago I started working with Epoxy Resin. My first ever project was this coated leaf bowl of which I made 4 different types. Starting off I knew how to work with clay so that would be my base. Spread it out as evenly as possible using whatever tools you have lying around (I had a make-up brush). Lay your leaf on the clay and press it in using the same roller/ make-up brush. Take a bowl to let the clay dry in to take it's shape. Paint the clay bowl as you like (I chose copper and painted 3 coats to be sure it was opaque). Afterwards mix Epoxy Resin 1:1 and let sit for a while for it to be more dense, the more dense, the less dripping and thicker coating. Place the leaf bowl on a cup so nothing touches the table you are working on (very important). Coat the bowls with Epoxy Resin for 1-3times untill fully coated (top and bottom of the bowl individually). The resin will drip, if the bowl touches the table it wil get stuck to the table or form a flat drip. The normal drips look like water drops after drying and look naturally nice with the leaf imprint. Instagram: anja.beautyandhome
