Unboxing & Setting Up My New Comet II Midi Lathe from Teknatool

I thought I would capture the unpacking and setup of the new lathe. Thanks to Thom Rider for his excellent review of the Comet and for pointing out the "break-in" period for it. I might have missed that part of the setup without his video. You can check out Thom's review of the Comet here:    • Nova Comet II Midi Lathe Review   Now that I've had a couple weeks and a number of projects turned on the new lathe, I have to say that I really like this machine! It is smooth, quiet, and fun to use. The only real complaints I have are the location of the on/off switch (I'd rather have it on the right side of the lathe), and the tool rest that comes with the lathe has some kind of paint coating on it that was causing me problems. So, I filed it off to bare steel and it's much smoother now. Let me know if you have any questions or are thinking about getting a Comet. I'd be glad to help out if I can.
