On 21st July 1916 , (19th Ramzanul Mubarik ,1334 Hijri), the foundation stone of the college was laid with the financial support and cooperation of the wealthy people of Sheikhupur and the leading gentlemen of Budaun. Its inauguration ceremony was performed by the then Governor of U.P. , Hon’ble Sir James Scourgie Meston . The college was named after his name, Meston Islamia High School. The college has made a great progress due to the approval of the latest subjects .It is rich in three streams : Arts, Commerce and Science .
