Jim Clark Rally 2025 | Tragedy at Edrom Stage | A Day of Motorsport, Passion & Reflection This weekend, I headed to the legendary Jim Clark Rally with my dad and a good friend — a bit of a getaway for us and a chance to soak in some world-class rally action in the heart of the Scottish Borders. With the historic tarmac stages, tight corners, flat-out blasts, and high-speed commitment that makes this rally iconic, we were ready for an unforgettable motorsport experience. We set up at Edrom Stage, cameras rolling, engines echoing through the countryside, expecting a day packed with Group N cars, R5s, and fire-spitting WRC machines. But in a heartbreaking turn of events, the rally was brought to a sudden and somber halt. Dai Roberts, an experienced and respected co-driver, tragically lost his life in an incident on the same stage we were spectating. As you’ll see in the video, only three cars came through before the stage — and eventually the rally — was cancelled. This video is less about the usual rally madness and more a tribute to the spirit of rallying, the risks these crews take, and the close-knit nature of this community. Motorsport is dangerous, and today was a solemn reminder of that. We spent Friday at Fogo Stage, and what an incredible piece of rallying heaven it was — sweeping bends, undulating tarmac, and the raw energy of rally cars pushing the limit. It was a standout stage, and even with the rally ending early, the passion and atmosphere were unforgettable. Sending our deepest condolences to Dai’s family, his driver and team, and the wider rally community.
