It is described as a "Basic Game Adventure" and is perfect for new characters, offering a thrilling, almost spooky setting that evokes "Stranger Things" vibes. The adventure is specifically designed for character levels 1-3, and depending on character level, a group of five to ten players is recommended. The adventure begins at Guido’s Fort, an isolated frontier settlement situated along the mighty River Shrill. This river is the only thing separating the fort from "The Hill," a mysterious mountain rumored to shelter vicious monsters. Player characters must cross the River Shrill, a journey that costs 20 gp for a ferry or 50-80 gp to buy a boat. Once on the far shore, adventurers are on their own, navigating a dense woods filled with hidden perils. Along the way, they might encounter mysterious beings like "kindly" old ladies, hobgoblin soldiers mustering forces, and a ghoulish graveyard. Ultimately, the goal is to discover an old, abandoned monastery on The Hill, which serves as a headquarters for the hobgoblin band. This monastery also yields entrance to a multi-level dungeon, sure to challenge players' wits and skills. Within this dungeon, players must confront and defeat the hobgoblin king. Just when the adventure seems to conclude, a hidden trap leads to a staggering network of twisting corridors, culminating in the final obstacle: a young red dragon. The module promises a "Hill of just rewards for deeds well done" for the strong and daring.
