(ex)tension [2020] by Fabrizio di Salvo & reConvert (Roberto Maqueda) Performance: Roberto Maqueda Live at: WeSA Festival, Seoul — South Korea Date: December 12, 2025 This revision of (ex)tension presents a new solo-performer version, creating a more intimate space in which the audience can experience the work. The project originates from the need to investigate space itself—to explore its characteristics and uncover its acoustic potential as a starting point for artistic research. How can a three-dimensional, fully analogue sound system be created? How can instruments be designed to physically move sound through space? By working with customized industrial elements, the piece generates three-dimensional sound images that are controlled and shaped in real time by the performer. At the core of the work lies the single percussive impulse as a musical generator. While surfaces and execution speed may change, the impulse remains the fundamental element of every percussive action, forming the basis of the composition.
