MALAWAKANG RECLAMATION SA NAVOTAS | NAVOTAS FISH PORT COMPLEX EXPANSSION

The Navotas Coastal Bay Reclamation Project or the Navotas Boulevard Business Park is an under-construction commercial and business center in Navotas. The 650-hectare reclamation project in Novotas was approved by the Philippine Reclamation Authority in 2018 and has been under construction since 2019. The development is envisioned to create a mixed-use community with residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial areas suitable for port facilities, marine, and tourism. Its master plan was designed by Surbana Jurong. The Navotas Coastal Bay Reclamation Project is among the four reclamation projects in Manila Bay given notices to proceed (NDP) by the Philippine Reclamation Authority in December 2019. The other three are Pasay 360-hectare reclamation project, Pasay 265-hectare reclamation project and Horizon Manila 418-hectare reclamation project. According to a Philippine Reclamation Authority document, the Navotas reclamation project, also dubbed as the “Southern Gateway to the Manila International Airport” in Bulacan is envisioned as a “self-contained mixed-use community with industrial, commercial, institutional, residential areas.” As of December 2020, there are 21 projects in various stages set to reclaim about 10,000 hectares of Manila Bay.
