Mental Health Advocate and Influencer, Demetrius Harmon visits University of Michigan to talk about the obstacles of being Black in America and how it effects our psyche. Born March 1,1998 in Detroit,Michigan. Demetrius always had a love for art and expressing himself. This love took him to writing stories in his journals to teaching himself how to graphic design to creating his own clothing brand. Demetrius started posting on Youtube in 2012 and began speaking of his depression in 2014. He has a clothing brand 'You Matter by Demetrius Harmon' that aims to show people their importance, whether you’re a kid in an unfunded school and feel like it doesn’t matter if you try; or if you’re suicidal and feel as though you’re life doesn’t matter. And these public speaking engagements are just a step in accomplishing that goal.
