Triumph Coolant Clean & Flush Procedure

This was done on a 1976 TR6 but all Triumphs will be similar. Just make sure you find your block drain plug. Flush heater core separately. Follow flush directions on the cleaner bottle. I did remove radiator again later and took it to a shop. They took the top off and pushed a rod down the tubes. Dipped and cleaned and tested flow rate before and after and repainted for $150 and added a drain for $18 (June of 2023). I also decided at same time to upgrade the water pump. The old 4 flat spot impeller is stupid. I sent off for a rebuild and to upgrade to a 6 vane impeller at the Flying Dutchman for more flow and less resistance (more horsepower to the wheels). Not shown in video but before I filled it back up agains after radiator rebuild I removed block drain plug again and put the garden hose with brass sprayer up to hole and reverse flushed the block a bit. I did see more crap come out. I did this with the radiator hoses disconnected so the garbage wouldn’t go into radiator. ‪@DIYHelp‬
