Before hitting the dirt of the iconic Dempster Highway, I spent some time soaking up the local atmosphere—which, naturally, included a cold beer and a classic Can-Can show. There’s a certain magic to sleeping in the rain right before a major haul, even if it makes the gear a little heavier the next morning.
