Michael Romeo's newest resto/lounge, the just-opened Martini sits next to his already established oontz-spot Midtown, and is an absolutely massive nightlife temple with dinner seating for 200 (and party space for 400) under 35ft ceilings, decked throughout with exposed white brick walls, Brazilian walnut seating, and a massive "community table", which is Joel McHale's last hope for someone serving him people food. They've got nine beers on tap (from Flying Dog to Sierra Nevada), but the real sweetness comes via a 16-strong cocktail list with highlights like the gin/honey/blackberries/pomegranate "Dark Scent", the bourbon/cinnamon/vermouth/whiskey barrel bitters "Bark Over Bite", and the gin/lime/ginger beer "Fall of English", and here you thought that was represented by Southern rap music. Sustenance comes via "Dirty Entrees" like a pork chop w/ Dijon mustard cream (served with baby Yukon garlic mash/grilled asparagus), a grilled rosemary chicken with roma-avocados in a roasted red pepper-olive sauce, and the Pistachio-Panko Encrusted Sea Bass -- just be forewarned that any slapping may attract sharks.
