I rode a Moldavian Soviet Era train from Bucharest to Chisinau overnight which I cannot recommend to anyone. It was by far the most uncomfortable train ride I've ever experienced, including the time I shared a 2 seat ticket with 4 people escaping from the war in Ukraine to Hungary. At least there we had fresh air and weren't woken up multiple times during the night for passport checks.
