Truly a player’s instrument that is in near-pristine condition. The pot measures 10&1/2 inches, scale is 14”, action at the 12th fret B and T is 3/32nds”. At the nut the fingerboard measures 1&5/32nds”. Frets, fingerboard, finish and plating are excellent. I’ve cleaned the fingerboard, oiled the tuning machines which work very well, installed a new calf skinhead and a new (oldstock) Grover bridge. Few makers have the ability to construct a banjo mandolin to stand the test of time. Vega, Gibson - but Weymann is certainly one of the best . Comfortable string height, an absolute necessity in a mandolin of any ilk, is particularly rare in banjo mandolin. The case is the arched original or period sturdy hardshell case, all latches in working order. The handle works but could use leather or another wrapping. (se photos).
