Short trek up hill, all steps, from Mangalam Village up to a Siva Temple at the top. Temple is open only few days when the Priest hikes up around 10:00am. The view from the top gives a panoramic view of all the villages in Yelagiri. Early morning mist feels good. The Steps seem to be safe mostly. There is a huge rock/boulder near the temple where you can climb using steel ladder for the panaramic view. The temple itself is under another boulder. From Mangalam village temple parking, you cross few small lanes inside the village, walk across flat fields for 1km, and then the trail starts. During Weekends day time there may be some condiments sold, its better to carry your own water and snacks as required. A good place to trek and enjoy plain nature, nothing amazing, but a good break though. Forest Department might charge Rs.350/- entry fees depending on the enforcement at that time.
