MUMBAI (MAHARASHTRA) TO VISAKHAPATNAM (ANDHRA PRADESH) : FULL TRAIN JOURNEY : 18520 MUMBAI LTT - VISAKHAPATNAM EXPRESS VIA VIJAYAWADA : BZA WAP-7 LOCOMOTIVE : PARALLEL TRAIN RACE : 18520 MUMBAI LTT - VISAKHAPATNAM EXPRESS VS 12127 MUMBAI CSMT - PUNE INTERCITY EXPRESS 18520/Mumbai LTT - Visakhapatnam Express (Via Vijayawada) (PT) Other Names: LTT Express मुम्बई लोकमान्य तिलक टर्मिनस - विशाखपट्टणम एक्सप्रेस ( वाया विजयवाड़ा ) LTT/Mumbai LTT -- VSKP/Visakhapatnam Junction The Visakhapatnam – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express is a daily Express train service of the Indian Railways. It was launched on 24 March 2010. Daggubati Purandeswari, Union Minister of State for Human Resources, flagged off the train at Visakhapatnam railway station in the presence of the local MLAs, MPs of Vizag district and East Coast Railway officials. This train is presently operated by the South Coast Railway of Indian Railways. The train runs between Visakhapatnam Junction and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus covering 1,498.5 km (931.1 mi) in 29 hours and 15 minutes and from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Visakhapatnam in 28 hours and 20 minutes. The train was earlier numbered as 12749 and 12750. The train frequency was changed from Bi-weekly to Daily as presented in the Railway Budget 2013–14. But From 10 September 2013 onwards reducing the status of 12749/12750 Visakhapatnam-Mumbai LTT from SF to ‘ordinary express’ renumbered as 18519/18520. The train no. 22847/22848 passing through same starting point VSKP and ending point LTT via Nagpur is weekly SF passing through Nagpur Junction, Manmad Junction and Nashik Road. Train number 18519 stops at Samalkot Jn, Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Bhimavaram, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada Junction, Kazipet, Moula Ali, Secunderabad Junction, Lingampalli, Vikarabad, Tandur, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur and Pune en route to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. Train no 18520 stops at the same stations, but the other way around. The train consists of 1 First Class AC coach , 2 Two Tier AC coach , 5 Three tier AC coach, 6 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 Unreserved General coaches , 1 EOG and 1 SLR . The train is regularly hauled by WAP-7 locomotive from LTT to Visakhapatnam with a loco reversal at Vijayawada. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (also known by its former name Kurla Terminus, station code: LTT) is a railhead and a major railway terminus in the Kurla suburb of Mumbai, India. LTT is managed by the Central Railway. The Kurla and Tilak Nagar suburban railway stations are located nearby. It is one of the five railway terminals within Mumbai, the others being Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Dadar on the Central line, and Mumbai Central and Bandra Terminus on the Western line. LTT is located in the middle of two suburban railway stations, Tilak Nagar and Kurla, on the Harbour line. It is easily accessible through Tilak Nagar as a direct overhead bridge is made to LTT from Tilak Nagar. A share rickshaw service is available from Kurla to LTT via level crossing. The average opening of the level crossing gate is 20 minutes. Visakhapatnam Junction (station code: VSKP) is an important railway station located in Visakhapatnam in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It has eight platforms with 508 trains passing by everyday. It is on the Howrah–Chennai main line and is being operated by East coast Railway. It may be administered under the South Coast Railway zone by Indian Railways after some time. Originally named the Waltair railway station, it was founded in 1896. It was renamed as Visakhapatnam junction in 1987. Visakhapatnam has been a busy station since it was part of the East Coast Railway zone to today. Platforms are not always available for incoming trains, and the average train's halt period is at least 20 minutes. Over 5,000 people per day travel between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad, which are connected by over 18 trains, including the newly inaugurated Visakhapatnam - Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express. Another route, the Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam Godavari Express of the South Central Railway, passes into Visakhapatnam. Visakhapatnam station's area is 103,178 m2 (1,110,600 sq ft). There are eight platforms, most of which are the same size, and all of the tracks are broad-gauge and electrified. Visakhapatnam has been named the cleanest railway station in the country by the Quality Council of India and earned a platinum rating for being environmentally friendly from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). From 1893 to 1896, 1,287 km (800 mi) of track, covering the coast from Cuttack to Vijayawada, were built by Bengal Nagpur Railway (later South Eastern Railway). The station was founded as Waltair railway station in 1896, and Bengal Nagpur Railway's line to Cuttack was opened on 1 January 1899. In 1902, the company took over the 514 km (319 mi)-long northern portion of the East Coast line to Cuttack, including the branch line to Puri. The southern part was subsequently merged with Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway.
