Sarantari Beach, Anissaras and FKK Naturist Beach with white sand & turquoise water is located 26 km east of Heraklion on Crete Island of Greece. It belongs to the famous consecutive bays called “Limanakia” at the area of Chersonissos Port village. These bays start from Akrotiri (cape) Sarantaris and continue east to the Chersonissos Port village, on the side of the Bay of Malia. The bays have got white sand, pebbles and turquoise Mediterranean sea water. The main beach of Sarantaris is suitable for children as it has shallow waters and sand. The beach is protected from the wind because of Sarantaris cape and is well organized with umbrellas and sunbeds that are provided by the Municipality of Chersonissos (Municipal Beach). There are also lots of restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area. Sarantaris beach is tourist couples and families friendly and has shower facilities. The beach is very clean, the water and the landscapes are stunning! We payed 8€ for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. Not crowded, all cosy and beautiful. Beautiful views. Swam with some fish. To reach the beach you will need to follow a small (steep) path from the main road. You might find it challenging to access the beach with a baby stroller. We recommend that you visit other beaches in the area during your vacations on Crete. Adjacent to the main beach Sarandaris, there is a nudist beach Since the whole area is called Cape Sarantaris, ask a local to tell you which of all the various beaches in the cape is the so-called “THE Sarantaris Beach”. If you're staying in Hersonissos please for holidays rent a bike and come to this beach.
