Animation reel of weapons I animated for Black Ops 1 custom zombies map Perish. These are the weapons I animated when I started learning animating back in winter of 2017 and were the first complete sets I did back then. The guns and their backgrounds: Steyr '17 After having MR6 in the map for 1.5 years, I felt like it was going to lower the "unique" aspect of the map as starting weapon is what you see when you start up the map. It kinda defines how people might see the map overall. After seeing M1917 variant for M1911 in WW2, I decided to modify the textures, re-animate it and then use different sounds to make it feel more unique. This was the first set I created without major help or looking at ripped anims directly from Maya. Bahamut & Leviathan Of course when starting pistol is M1911 look a like, upgraded version should be Dual Wield with explosive projectile. Originally left gun was going to be aligned a bit to left/bottom more like how MrBrightside animated one set of DW's once, but it didn't feel right so went with old CoD style alignment. Ray Gun I dislike old Ray Gun animations as there are few issues with them (High FOV, hands going through gun etc.) So I wanted to try out re-animating the gun to be two handed and fix the few issues. Some of the anims don't flow as well as originals, but they are good still imo. Miasma Device Venom-X was originally added to be the Wonder Weapon for the map as it hadn't been in so many maps before and it gave us chance to experiment with different elemental variants (+ gas and French map, sounds familiar?) Then The Beast From Beyond came out and it featured the weapon, so I decided to not remove it as a whole, but modify it so it feels at least newer. This lead to modifying the model majorly and then re-animating it. Music Used: Gallantry & Recapitulation from Made in Abyss soundtrack • Made in Abyss OST 1: 17. Gallantry and Rec... The assets are from: Treyarch (BO2 Ray Gun) Infinity Ward (Ghosts Venom-X model that was modified) Sledgehammer Games (WW2 M1911 variant that was modified) DICE (Steyr '17 firing sound) Tripwire Interactive (Steyr '17 reload sounds) Of course special thanks to: Ege115 (mentor in animating, touched up Miasma Device's reload anim with finger movement) Rollonmath42 (Helped setup WaW animation rig to work with BO1 DW setup)
