It faces Hengyue Mountain to the north, the Five Ridges to the south, and is sandwiched between Qitianling and Mengzhuling. The Xiangjiang River and the Pearl River divide the water. Since the establishment of Chen County in the Qin Dynasty, it has served as a county, state, road, and prefecture over 2,200 years ago. The urban area is located in a narrow basin where the Chenjiang River and Yanquan meet, 180 meters above sea level, surrounded by hills on all sides, with a mild climate and distinct four seasons. The Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway run through it. It takes more than an hour to get to Changsha in the north and Guangzhou in the south. It is known as the "Southern Gate of Hunan". Suxianling, the "Eighteenth Blessed Land in the World", is shrouded in clouds and mist in the city, the water of Beihu Park reflects the heart of the city, and the night lights of Yuhou Street are bright. It is rich in minerals, with tungsten, molybdenum, and bismuth reserves ranking first. The industry is based on nonferrous metals, energy, and building materials.
