This is a 1436 Alumacraft jon boat. I'm just playing around and showing the stability of a 36" wide bottom on a jon boat. The riveted aluminum hull is 14 ft long. I have fished 300~320 pounds on the front deck. That's the combined weight of my brother and I. I believe the rear of the boat lifts up a little out of the water when we do, but we still do it and have not experienced any issues doing so. I believe the boat is stable for a jon boat. Its what I'm used too. I choose to stick with a hull that is narrower because the longtail mud motors like the hulls that way. If you want to see how low its sits in the water with an alligator you can watch the end of the video here (already time-stamped) - • Solo Alligator Hunter in Florida Weight Calculations Longtail Mud Motor - 135lbs Jon Boat Dry/Empty Hull Weight - 135lbs Plywood Casting Deck - 60lbs Plywood Foam Floor - 15lbs Random Gear - 50lbs Total = 395lbs my weight of 145lb = 540lbs for everything Visit the JTgatoring store on Amazon for product lists & ideas for your next outing - https://www.amazon.com/shop/jtgatoring If you'd like to make my day and help support JTgatoring here's a few things you could do that are organized from easiest to most helpful. 1.
