🎉 Exciting News, Perinton! 🎉 We broke ground on the new music-themed playground at Center Park West! 🎶 This 4,000 sq. ft. playground, designed with community input, will feature inclusive play elements inspired by the musical elements of the Perinton Amphitheater. 🌟 Located in the heart of Center Park West, next to the soccer fields, amphitheater, picnic shelter, and parking lot, this project is part of our ongoing Playground Revitalization Plan and Capital Improvement Program. The current playground, which is 23 years old, will temporarily remain in place during construction, ensuring families can continue to enjoy a play space while we build the new one. Our goal is to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive play space where children of all abilities can play together. Special thanks to our Perinton Recreation and Parks staff for their focus on inclusion, ensuring every child has the opportunity to play in Perinton. Community input played a huge role in shaping this project, and your feedback directly influenced the final design. This project is another great example of what we can achieve when we listen to our residents and work together. The music theme is a perfect fit for this park, given our community’s love for music and the thousands of people who gather here for concerts every summer. The playground is set to open in early summer 2025, and we’re actively seeking grant funding to add swings as part of this project.
