Cremation Ceremony of Kyabje Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche October 29, 2025 – Nala Gumba Today, October 29, marks the cremation ceremony of our most revered master, Kyabje Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, following the completion of the Maha Parinirvana Ritual. With the great guidance of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Thinley Thaye Dorje, and the presence of high rinpoches, lamas, and anis, the sacred ceremony was conducted with profound blessings and devotion. Maniwa lama Sherab gyaltsen rinpoche was Born in 1950 and attaining Maha Parinirvana in 2025, Rinpoche—affectionately known as Lama Rinpoche—was a great Karma Kagyu lineage master, renowned for his mastery of the “Mani” mantra, having recited it over a billion times, earning him the title “Maniwa.” A close disciple of the 16th Karmapa and a contemporary of Shamar Rinpoche, he devoted his life to teaching and guiding countless beings on the path of compassion and realization. He served as a retreat master in Pharping, nurtured monastic and nunnery communities around Kathmandu, and led vast Mani and Nyungne practices. His teachings were profound yet simple, filled with love, humor, and clarity. Rinpoche also traveled internationally, spreading the light of compassion and blessing countless disciples across the world. Kyabje Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche entered Parinirvana on September 4, 2025. We deeply pray and await his swift rebirth to continue guiding all beings on the path of enlightenment.
