Welcome to the 10K subscriber special! We ain’t in FL for this video folks. This Fall, I traveled up to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Southern Appalachia to film and photograph my all-time favorite salamander - the hellbender. Our trip overlapped with hellbender breeding season so there was plenty of amazing behavior happening in the river. This is the longest video I have ever made (so far) in my life.
