In Part 2, we focus on the core movements of mercy and what it produces in real life: 2) Merciful Messiah (John 15:12–13) Exodus shows God fighting for His people—the Gospel shows God dying for His people. Greater love isn’t theory—it’s sacrifice. Mercy has muddy shoes. 3) Mended Misery (Matthew 11:28–30) Jesus trades burdens, not just advice. Rest doesn’t mean no responsibility—it means you stop carrying it alone. (A lot of people aren’t reckless—they’re weary.) 4) Mutual Motivation (Community Step) Fear says: “Handle it alone.” Mercy says: “Bring it into the light.” One simple step this week: tell one safe person, “Here’s where I’m stuck” or “Here’s the number I’ve been avoiding.” 5) Measurable Mercy (Matthew 6:33) Seeking the Kingdom first means the Kingdom gets first consideration—not leftovers. Mercy received becomes mercy released.
