Stevie Wright was known as Australia's first International pop star. He was one of the pioneers of the Australian music industry. He has always been my musical inspiration. I would always look toward him to learn the craft of entertaining my audience. It was November 2015 and my good friend and Stevies great mate,Tony Southwell , had organized for me to visit Stevie. This for me was a dream come true. Stevie was so very excited to show me his mums collection of news paper clippings she had collected throughout his Easybeats years. We talked all things music and even sang along to an entire video of one of his concerts. Stevie said something that both broke my heart and has stayed with me since that day "This is great Lea, no-one talks to me about my music anymore". I made him a promise that both he and his music would not be forgotten. Fast forward to about a year ago, I started to think about putting a show together to commemorate Stevie. To start with I needed to record one of his songs to put the idea out there. So with a group of Stevie's peers we got together and recorded, what i believe to be a song that represents all things Stevie Wright. He was simply MY KIND OF MUSIC! I would like to thank everyone that was involved in this project without whom i could never have achieved this.
