It was August 21, 1999...the anniversary of the School of Business Management, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. Bhagawan arrived that day as promised to speak to the students in the institute auditorium. But, the boys noticed that there was a difference in Swami's gait...they could tell that something was wrong. Quickly, word spread that Bhagawan was not well. The boys felt so sad that Swami had come all the way to be with them despite such physical strain. After a few speeches, the vice chancellor, then Sri SV Giri, prayed to Bhagawan to deliver His Divine Discourse. But Swami had lost His voice and could not speak. He tried speaking, but no voice was emanating from His Divine lips. All of the boys were crestfallen seeing Swami in this state. Seeing His children feeling pained, Swami cured Himself for the entire duration of His Discourse, only to lose His voice once again the moment He ends it with His traditional bhajan. He explained beautifully the significance behind this whole incident, impressing upon the students to follow the Divine Command. Truly, when the Lord's heart melts, there is nothing He will not do!
