Wednesday February 5th 2025 at 12.55. The 12.34 Maidenhead to Marlow (12.57) train running 5 minutes late. Came here in 2017    • Bourne End Marina Level Crossing   when I filmed more of the Marina. This is a single track branch line just over 7 miles long from Maidenhead. Bourne End station has to be reversed out of and there is only enough line beyond the points for two coach trains to use it although satellite images suggest that could be easily altered to allow 3 coaches into the station. Until 1970 a line ran from Bourne End to High Wycombe. The line here was going to be electrified in the period 2014-19 but that was sensibly cancelled in 2016. Investment of that level makes more sense on busier routes.
