I've always been intrigued by the look of copper, and even though we have a perfectly good set of cookware, I do sometimes look with envy at the copper pots and pans hanging in the kitchens of some TV cooking shows. For most cooking, though, I imagine our nonstick cookware is more practical and easier to maintain. But for cold drinks, a hammered copper mug is both practical and attractive. The Moscow Mule copper mug is a nice piece of work with its hammered copper look. It's advertised as having a 16-ounce capacity. I verified that with 16 ounces of water, which came to within about a quarter-inch of the rim, so the listed capacity is accurate. The mug is made of heavy gauge copper, with the mug weighing 5½ ounces. Even using both hands, I couldn't bend the sides of the mug at all, so I doubt if dropping the mug would even make a dent. With its shiny coppery gleam, the mug is definitely an attention-getter. The copper mug was provided to me for evaluation.
