Recently, we were called out to upgrade a customer's 4-way trailer wiring harness to a 7-way round plug. While examining the existing wiring harness that was installed by a "competitor," I realized that the installation quality was so poor, that it was going to be best to remove the wiring harness altogether and start over. When trying to sell premium quality products and installations to customers, we're constantly told that "the other guys" are cheaper on their towing packages; especially on the wiring portion. Well, if you just compare service providers on price alone, you're taking big chances that you'll have to go back and repair or replace faulty work later on. Improperly installed components can also cause damage to your vehicle, be unsafe to operate, and cause accidents. Unsafe towing equipment can also lead to property damage, personal injury, and liability issues if damage or injuries are suffered by other motorists in the event of your equipment's failure. Don't do it cheap; do it RIGHT!!
