Main accused of gang that looted finance employees arrested, 12 incidents revealed Udaipur. Govardhan Vilas police station has arrested Avinash Meena son of Laxman Meena (resident of Bichiwada, Dungarpur), the main leader of the gang that looted finance employees. A reward of ₹5,000 was announced on the accused. Police station officer Dilip Singh Jhala said that this gang was active in Udaipur and Salumber area. The accused used to do recce of the employees of finance companies and after returning from installment collection, they used to stop them at a deserted place and loot them. If they resisted, they used to beat them up by showing weapons. They used to spend the looted amount on fun. The gang used to use power bikes on the highway and as soon as one member got information, other associates used to carry out the crime. A special police team was formed to investigate the activities of this gang, which scanned more than 500 CCTV footage and analyzed mobile data within a radius of 100 km. On this basis, accused Ajit Kumar Meena, Rakesh Meena (arrested 14 December 2024) and Naveen Meena (arrested 10 December 2024) have already been arrested. During interrogation, these accused have admitted to carrying out a total of 12 incidents of robbery from finance personnel in Govardhan Vilas, TD, Jawarmines, Sarada, Rishabhdev and Jhardol circles. More than Rs 10 lakh was looted in these incidents.
