A key aspect of quantitative social science is transparency, along the lines of "show me what you have done" instead of just "trust me". OSF.io by the Open Science Foundation is a platform to make your analyses, the results, the code and the data available to the public. Crucially it provides a findable and stable link, similar to DOI for journal articles, as well as "version control" which ensures you always have the most up-to-date file as well as being able to go back to previous versions. All this essential, amongst other things for the replicability of your research. OSF.io also provides you with a log of changes, a wiki, the possibility to preregister your analyses, and several functions to collaborate. You can also interact with OSF.io directly from R/RStudio using the osfr -package. This video gives a brief overview of OSF.io.
