As a part of the release of ICRW’s newest brief on racial justice and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), we discussed the importance of using a reproductive justice lens for U.S. advocacy on global SRHR. With the rise of diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives - while the sector reflects on and moves to implement racial equity into our work - this dialogue on how to implement and center this work and move past rhetoric is timely. The roundtable chat brought together advocates from around the globe to discuss why reproductive justice matters to their work and their vision for the future of U.S. advocacy. Speakers: Lienna Feleke-Eshete, Senior Program Associate for Transnational Birth Equity at the National Birth Equity Collaborative Dr. Annabel Sowemimo, Community Sexual & Reproductive Health Doctor and Founder of non-profit Decolonising Contraception Catherine Nyambura, consultant in global health, SRHR, HIV, women's rights, youth & advocacy Seyram Dodor, Policy Associate at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) (moderator)
