As the night deepens, the journey takes us through Punjab’s heartland, and by dawn, we arrive in Jammu, the Winter Capital of Jammu & Kashmir. With its ancient temples and picturesque hills, Jammu serves as our gateway to the paradise that awaits. Jammu to Srinagar – Through the Himalayan Valleys From Jammu, we continue our journey by car, heading towards Srinagar. The road trip is nothing short of magical—misty valleys, gushing rivers, and towering pine forests accompany us along the way. The Gateway to Kashmir As we cross the Jawahar Tunnel, a dramatic transformation unfolds. The lush green valleys and snow-capped peaks of Kashmir greet us, signaling our arrival in one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Srinagar – Exploring Kashmir’s Iconic Destinations HazratBal Shrine – A Sacred Sanctuary Situated on the banks of Dal Lake, the Hazratbal Shrine is one of Kashmir’s most revered sites. Its stunning white marble structure and peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit for those seeking spirituality and serenity. Dal Lake – The Crown Jewel of Kashmir We set sail on a traditional shikara ride, floating past houseboats, floating gardens, and local vendors selling saffron, dry fruits, and handicrafts. The reflections of the surrounding Himalayan peaks on the calm waters create an unforgettable sight. Sri Shankaracharya Temple – A Hilltop Haven Perched high above Srinagar, the Shankaracharya Temple stands as a timeless symbol of devotion and heritage.
