Jalyn Records is back! The Dayton, Ohio label, founded by bluegrass legend Jack Lynch, originally ran from the early ’60s through the late ’70s. Working out of his apartment on Brown Street, Lynch issued a steady run of hard-driving bluegrass, country, and gospel sides, cut by local pickers and big names alike, including Ralph Stanley and Don Reno. Decades later, these records have been lovingly remastered for modern ears and are available digitally for the first time. If being the owner and creative mind behind Jalyn Records wasn't enough, Jack Lynch also had considerable musical talent of his own. Here we have the man himself, owner and founder of Jalyn writing and performing his own songs. Recorded on several different sessions, using musicians and singers that played with Jack during the label's short-lived but bright burning operations, including Frank Wakefield, Roy Lee, Fred Spencer, Daniel Boone Centers, Bernard Gumm, Wilburn Hall and Lonnie Bolin.
