À l'origine, la #bourrée est une #danse traditionnelle (qui date de l'ere baroque) originaire du Massif central (#France) par couple ou en groupes plus nombreux. Elle a plusieurs variétés: la bourrée auvergnate, rouergate, bourbonnaise, et celle d'Anjou. Dans la suite de danses, à l'époque #baroque, la bourrée fait partie des « galanteries » : danses d'allure populaire pouvant prendre place entre la sarabande et la gigue. The #bourree (#Occitan: borrèia) originates in Auvergne in France in the Massif Central. It is danced during bals folk in France and in other countries. In the Baroque era, after the Academie de Dance was established by Louis XIV in 1661, the French court adapted the bourrée for the purposes of concert dance. Johann Sebastian Bach often used the bourrée in his suites as one of the optional dance movements that come after the sarabande but before the gigue, and he also wrote two short bourrées in his Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach.
